Benson family // Denver colorado

this is the benson family. courtney and forrest went to school with me at colorado state university. we went through the landscape design and contracting program together, which is where i met them shortly into college. i even photographed their courthouse elopement in colorado springs back in 2015.

i met up with courtney and forrest again this last week in colorado to catch up, and set up a quick shoot with their beautiful, expanding family. i am trying hard to stay connected with people in person instead of from a distance. this trip to colorado was important to me, as i value these photos, and conversations a lot. we took photos at the shoemaker plaza in downtown denver which was built by her grandfather’s foundation many years back. thanks for having me out benson family, and thank you for lunch. =)  until next time!

Garcia Military Return

SPc Christopher Garcia had a happy return home to his partner, Phoenix who contacted me a week ago with her desire to capture his return with surprise photos. i’ve never seen so many happy people all in one place in my life. Once they dismissed the soldiers to their families it was full on “happy chaos”. The original plan was for Chris not to know I was there as I circled them from a distance. In the end, Phoenix shared that I was there to take photos and we had an opportunity to take a few official photos after. It was an honor to be part of this homecoming. Thank you again Chris for your service, and Enjoy your time home sir.
